Celebration of Life services for Deacon Donnie R. Gilbert, of Shreveport, will be Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Noon, in the Chapel of Washington's & Smith’s Paradise Funeral Home, 1842 Barton Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana 71107. Pastor Jack Lewis, of the Temple of Christ Baptist Church, officiating. Public Viewing will be Friday, September 5, 2025, from Noon – 6:00 p.m., followed by a Family Hour until 7:30 p.m. The interment will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., in the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, Louisiana. Flowers may be sent to or purchased at the Funeral Home. Deacon Gilbert was a diehard Green Bay Packers' fan. In honor of him, we encourage you to wear Green Bay colors, and sports attire is welcomed.
