Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Verta Howard-Jones, of Shreveport, will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., at the Willow Chute Baptist Church, 2645 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana 71107. Pastor Alvin Mays is officiating, and interment will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park. Public Viewing will be Friday from noon – 4 p.m., in the Chapel of Washington’s & Smith's Paradise Funeral Home, 1842 Barton Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana 71107. Family Hour will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7: 00 p.m. at the Willow Chute Baptist Church. Flowers may be sent to or purchased at the Funeral Home.
