Funeral Service for Deonis "Gaga" Dillard will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 11:00 am, at the First Baptist Church of Vivian. Interment will follow in the Lake Zion Cemetery, Belcher, Louisiana. Dr. Jimmy Carroll officiating. He will Lie in State from 9 am to funeral time. Open Visitation will be Friday from 9 am-3 pm at Washington's & Smith's Paradise Funeral in Vivian, Louisiana. 

 

Deonis was born on January 20, 1984, to the late Katherine Dillard and the late Donald Ray Dobin. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Mary Thomas Baptist Church in Hosston, Louisiana, under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Davis. He later united with the Greater Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Vivian, Louisiana, under the leadership of Pastor Jimmy Carroll, where he remained until his death.

 

He attended Vivian Elementary/Middle School and graduated from North Caddo High School in 2002. He received his certification in diesel driving and enjoyed driving cross country for lengthy periods. Later he began driving regionally with SAIA Trucking Company, where he remained until his illness. He had a love for sports and people.

          

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his twin brother: Adonis Dillard of Atlanta, TX; two daughters: Akira and Amia of Vivian, LA; grandparents: Helen Jackson Dillard, of Hosston, LA; Lorinne Williams and John D. Williams of Plain Dealing, LA, and a host of relatives and friends. 

 

Gaga will be truly missed by all who knew him.  Goodnight..... We will see you in the morning, when we all rise together.
